                                             Introduction to the Workshop/Atelier

The Person Centered Medicine International Academy (PCMIA) and the  Milan School of Medicine of the University Ambrosiana ,where in 1998 originated  the Person Centered Medicine  Paradigm Change and  born in 2005 the Person Centered Health Model, is addressed to spread in Medical Schools and Colleges the quality procedures to teach Person Centered Medicine and to promote in Public Health the concept of the Person Centered Health Governance.  It is dedicated to Deans of Medical Schools and Colleges, International Association of Medical Education, health managers and investigators in Medical Education. It is very important to spread all over the world a standardized method to teach and apply PCM and experimented  quality assessment procedures, because  only it could  create real possibilities to investigate on the Person Centered Clinical Method impact on different pathologies ,on People and Person Health Care and promotion and Medical Education. The 3rd  Milan workshop on Education in PCM, (1st in Verbania-2011, 2nd in Assisi 2012), wants to develop the PCMIA action in the world, defining priorities for implementing and changing curricula in Medical Education  and re-orienting these to Person Centered Medicine.

The final objective is to create an international  agreement about  teachers’ and students’ education curricula for an international certification procedure of Medical School   based on the epistemological  and application model of Person Centered Medicine according its paradigm and an International Reliability  License for  Clinical Teachers for  teaching Person Centered Medicine at theoretical and clinical level  proposed by PCMIA and by the Milan School of Medicine.

The 3rd Milan workshop  meaning is to work through the Medical Education paradigm change, and the adoption of Medical Education teaching and assessment methods , already well experimented methods based on the irrefutable epistemological change of Medicine as main priorities  for modifying  health systems toward a Person Centered Health Governance.

The PCMIA Workshop objectives are to establish the necessary changes of curricula in medical education, starting from the Ambrosiana University pionieristic work introduced in WHO in 2011,  and the identification of the investigations dependent variables’ clusters and methods  for studying  the impact of PCM on Medical Education, Clinics, Research, Epidemiology.

The Workshop method will be the focus discussion group starting from a given subject introduced by opening presentations of the workshop fields.

PROGRAM

Courses are addressed to teach theory and clinical practice of Person Centered Medicine and Research Method in Medical Education and allow to receive the Educational Credits of the Certificate in Person Centered Medicine and of the Certificate in Person Centered Medicine Science of the International School in Person Centered Medicine and to become members of the International Academy of Person of Person Centered Medicine
There are two courses both in the same days: 9-12,30 Research- (course B) 14,30-17.00 Person Centered Medicine (Course A). Venue: St Joseph Hospital, Milan.

Course A

At the end of the Course the attendants will be able to know the theoretical basis of Person Centered Medicine and its paradigm and to learn run step by step the Person Centered Clinical Method Quality Procedure and to acquire the basic principles of Person Centered Medical Education . Person Centered Clinical Method, theorized  in 1998, has a Reliability of 0,81 and Validity of 0,80.

A la fin du stage  le participants auront la capacité de connaître la théorie e le paradigme de la Médecine Centrée sur la Personne et de conduir l’apprentissage  à la Mèthode clinique centrée sur la personne étape par étape . La Méthode clinique centrée sur la personne a une fiabilité de 0,81 et une validité de 0,80.

Corse B

At the end of the course in Research method, attendants will be able to
1. Create electronic databases in Excel, SPSS, Comprehensive Meta Analysis and EQS
2. Run SPSS analyses (e.g., descriptive statistics, graphs, correlation, ANOVA,
regression)
3. Run Comprehensive Meta Analysis to compute effect sizes and forest plots
4. Interpret statistical output and level of significance and prepare tables of results

Prof. G.R Brera is the author of the Person Centered Medicine (PCM) theory ,its paradigm and the teaching quality procedures in the Ambrosiana University Milan School of Medicine and  he is the founder of the Person Centered Medical Education and its quality procedures.  He runs the Person Centered Medicine International School of  the Milan School of Medicine  and the Person Centered Medicine International Academy.

Il giorno 12 aprile 2014, presso l’Ospedale san Giuseppe, si terrà il Convegno didattico di apertura dei corsi di Adolescentologia del Dipartimento di Adolescentologia e di Medicina dell’Adolescenza dell’Università Ambrosiana, leader nel mondo sulla materia ,sul tema

ADOLESCENZA:MISTERO E SVILUPPO DELL’ESSERE PERSONA

Il convegno è dedicato a quanti nella loro attività entrano in rapporto educativo o clinico con gli adolescenti e darà gli elementi teorici  e metodologici per conoscere gli adolescenti sani e problematici . Come relatori-didatti vi saranno alcuni capi-scuola dell’Adolescentologia, della Auxologia  e della Psicologia dell’adolescenza Italiani.

L’Adolescentologia è la teoria unificante il modello conoscitivo dell’adolescenza nelle diverse applicazioni. La teoria sviluppata dal prof. Giuseppe R.Brera, e nella forma  compiuta pubblicata nel 2000 come “Teoria dell’adolescenza centrata sulla persona” consente di valorizzare a persona dell’adolescente non chiudendola negli eventuali problemi.

Saranno oggetto del Convegno oltre alla teoria Adolescentologica, trattata dallo stesso prof. G.R. Brera, lo sviluppo auxologico e la percezione dello stesso (prof. Luigi Gargantini), lo sviluppo psicologico e morale (prof. Assunto Quadrio). L’endocrinologia e la psicologia dello stress adolescenziale (prof.Luciano Berti), la famiglia e l’adolescente (prof.G.R.Brera)

Il Convegno è introduttivo, inoltre al nuovo programma di formazione e ricerca alla Medicina centrata sulla Persona “Braccialetti Rossi” applicato alla adolescenza.

Sono previste importanti facilitazioni alla partecipazione per Insegnanti, infermieri, studenti in Medicina
